(MOORE, Okla.) May 13, 2026 – Moore Public Schools announced a new partnership with SSC Services for Education for its custodial, grounds and maintenance services after Board approval Monday evening.

“This decision was made with extreme care and caution. We value and respect the work of every MPS employee, and we’ve known many of our custodial and maintenance employees for decades. We have confidence that SSC will care for our custodial and maintenance employees,” said MPS Administration.

Superintendent Dr. Robert Romines and Deputy Superintendent Michelle McNear directly addressed affected employees on May 12 before a morning information meeting with SSC. Employees then scheduled individual appointments with MPS and SSC administrators to move through the hiring process. SSC noted that their new associates can keep the same school and building assignments if they choose.

The affected MPS employees include 63 maintenance employees and 259 custodial employees. As new SSC associates, employees will enjoy benefits such as an immediate $1.50 raise, a 401(k) company match of 6%, health insurance paid for employees with competitive spouse and family rates, along with earning vacation, sick and personal leave at the same rate they had with MPS.

SSC associates also have the option for continued training and education, they can earn monetary incentives through recognition awards and they have the potential for upward mobility. Additionally, SSC has a nationwide network, providing opportunities for associates who need to relocate to another state.

“This partnership allows a company that excels in the structured care of buildings, grounds, and maintenance to provide consistent training for employees to keep the 4.6 million sq. ft. of property in our district at its best. SSC will also handle day-to-day operations issues. This alone allows us to keep our focus on providing excellence in education to our 22,700 students,” Romines said.

SSC prides itself on providing dedicated systems for custodial, grounds and maintenance staffing, training, supplies, equipment, and quality assurance. For information about SSC visit www.sscserv.com. For FAQs related to this partnership, visit this link
