SHS Students Honored by Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City

Southmoore High School Juniors Morgan Shade, Tulsi Patel and Teresa Pham were honored earlier this month at their official pinning ceremony for their year-long commitment to serve on the Student Board of Directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, OKC Branch. 

This board prepares students to become knowledgeable citizens by increasing their understanding of economics, finance, and occupational topics. Many former board members across the U.S. attribute a large part of their success in business to this early experience.

Each session introduces students to a different topic: the missions of the Federal Reserve, personal finance, college and career readiness, regional economy and professional and personal development.
